Uttarakhand : Retired IPS officer GS Mertolia to command UKSSSC

Uttarakhand Government has appointed retired IPS officer GS Martolia as the Chairman of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). Let us tell you that in the matter of copying and paper leak (UKSSSC Paper Leak) in the graduation level recruitment exam on August 5th, the Chairman of the Commission S. Raju had resigned. After which the post of President was continuously going down. As such, the government has appointed GS Mertolia as the head of UKSSSC. In fact, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission is in talks after the controversy surrounding the paper leak of the graduate level competitive examination, in which the chairman of the commission, S Raju, had earlier resigned taking moral responsibility for the paper leak case. That’s why the post of Chairman in the Aayog is running down. In such a situation, the government has decided to post the Chairmanship of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission and has given the important responsibility of the Chairmanship to retired IPS officer Ganesh Singh Martolia.

Let it be known that the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission is in controversies these days due to irregularities in various examinations. Along with STF, Vigilance is also investigating various cases. However, after the paper leak case in graduation level competition rickshaw came to light, this commission was seen in the circle of questions. In this case, after the case escalated, the Chairman of the Commission, Retired IAS S Raju, resigned. Meanwhile, the secretary of the commission, Santosh Badoni, was suspended by the government. After this Surendra Singh Rawat was given the responsibility on the post of Secretary.

UKSSSC in controversy

LT Paper, Forest Guard Recruitment, Village Development Officer, Graduate Level Examination 2021 were among the most controversies and irregularities in the examinations conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Service Commission from 2017 to 2021. In which the recruitment of 854 posts like Village Development Officer, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Panchayat Officer, Data Entry was in the most controversy. Although several people have been booked and sent to jail in connection with these malpracticed examinations, but so far none of the senior officials associated with the commission have been arrested for masterminding such cases.

Raju became the chairman of UKSSSC in 2016

S Raju became the Chairman of UKSSSC on 23 September 2016. Before Raju, Chairman of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission Dr. RBS Rawat was. S Raju was given the charge after Rawat’s resignation. S Raju, a 1984 batch IS officer, retired shortly before becoming the chairman of UKSSSC in 2016.
