Chhattisgarh / Mohla Manpur: A snake bites a mother who was feeding milk, both mother and daughter died

A shocking incident has come to light in Mohla Manpur, the new district of Chhattisgarh, where a woman was bitten by a snake while she was feeding her newborn. Both mother and child died due to the bite of a poisonous snake. The whole area is immersed in grief due to this incident. Efforts are being made to know the exact cause of death of the child through post-mortem, at present it is being speculated that due to the poison due to which the woman died, the girl also died due to that.

The incident is of Friday night, Ramshila Patel, who came to her maternal home from village Bagnara under Ambagarh outpost, was sleeping on the bed with her five-month-old daughter Sonika at night. During this, the poisonous snake Danda Karent bit Ramsheela’s feet. As soon as the information about the snakebite was received, the family first did her home treatment, but seeing Ramsheela’s condition deteriorating, the relatives took her to the health center at Ambagarh outpost. Treatment was not found here too, seeing the critical condition, the doctors referred him to the Medical College Hospital in Rajnadgaon. From here the thread of life started breaking. Before reaching Rajnadgaon, Ramsheela and her five-month-old girl died on the way.

On hearing the news of the death of Ramsheela and her child, the angry villagers came out after searching for the snake hidden in the house and beat it to death with sticks. Ramsheela died due to snake bite, but the police is investigating how the girl died, since the girl was not bitten by the snake, the scientific reasons for how the poison reached her immediately are being investigated.
