Uttarakhand : After the implementation of NEP, now admission will be given on the basis of new education policy

After school education, now the National Education Policy-2020 has been implemented in the Higher Education Department as well. Union Higher Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan duly inaugurated it in a program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. Launching the National Education Policy from the academic session 2022-23 of the Higher Education Department in the program, the Union Minister Pradhan said that Uttarakhand was the first to implement the National Education Policy-2022 in school education.

Target of capacity to teach 40 lakh lakhs by 2025

Now the Higher Education Department has also taken another important step by implementing this. He said that Uttarakhand has the capacity to teach 35 lakh students at every level from primary to higher education, which needs to be increased to 40 lakh by 2025. Similarly, in school education, every child who has completed the age of three years is to be admitted to Bal Vatika by next year.

Admission this year also under new policy – Dhami

On this occasion, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in the National Education Policy, emphasis has been laid on self-reliant youth along with cultural self-respect. In this, the focus has been on studies in mother tongues, even medical studies are being conducted in Hindi. In Uttarakhand, it will be implemented at every level. The Higher Education Minister said that the National Education Policy is being implemented in all universities from this session. This year’s admissions have also been made under the provisions of the new policy.

Development of country and society is possible only through better education

Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Uttarakhand has always been the land of those who study and meditate. In such a situation, the youth here now have to prepare themselves to compete with the world. On the occasion of the launch of National Education Policy at CM residence on Sunday, Pradhan said that development of any country and society is possible only through better education. The National Education Policy-2020 has been made keeping all these aspects in mind. Along with education, special attention has been paid to children’s skills, personality, linguistic development and moral values. The Union Minister said that under the National Education Policy, children are being linked to formal education for three years. Under this, Bal Vatika has been started. After three years of learning in Bal Vatika, the child will enter the first grade at the age of six.

He said that those who wrote Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas did contemplation from Uttarakhand itself. The people of Uttarakhand have a natural quality to study and work hard, so the youth here should be prepared for the need of the world. Emphasizing on studies in mother tongue, he said that no economy in the world is based on English language.
