After an altercation with a 12th student, a class 10th student reached the school with a pistol and cartridges. The matter is of Jawahar Navodaya Residential School located in Roshnabad. On the information of classmates, the school principal recovered the firearm from inside the student’s box and first took it to the District Magistrate and then to the police. The police have registered a case against the minor student on the complaint of the principal. The student was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

According to the police, a student of Mangalore Kotwali area is studying in class 10 at Jawahar Navodaya School, Roshanabad. A few days back he had an altercation with a class 12 student. At that time the teachers had intervened.

On Diwali holiday, bought firearms and cartridges from home and brought them to school

It has been told that when the student reached Mangalore at his home on Diwali holiday, after collecting money, he bought a firearm and cartridges and brought it to school. He told some students that he would kill the class 12 student as soon as he got a chance. When the students told this to the principal, there was a stir.

When the student’s box was searched, the pistol and cartridges were recovered

When the principal searched the student’s box, a pistol and cartridges were found. After which the principal took the student along with the pistol and cartridges to the District Magistrate Vinay Shankar Pandey and told the whole matter. DM sent him to Sidkul police station. Inspector Sidkul Pramod Uniyal said that a case has been registered against the student. Guns and cartridges have been seized and the student is being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
