Uttarakhand: Dhami announced on state foundation day, new tourism and energy policy will be made in three months
A new policy will be made within three months to increase production and investment in tourism and energy sector in Uttarakhand. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the State Foundation Day function organized at Police Lines on Wednesday. The Chief Minister said that the state has immense potential in the field of tourism and energy. Apart from this, we have no shortage of resources in both these areas. While we have all the beautiful places available for tourism, we also have no shortage of water and sunlight for hydropower and solar energy. So we need to pay more attention to this.
The goal of doubling GDP by 2027
He said that a simple and effective policy would be formulated in three months to encourage more investment in tourism sector in the state. At the same time, a simplified small hydro power and solar power policy will also be formulated. A fund of one crore will be created in the police department to reward the people who catch the prized miscreants. The target has also been set to double the GDP by 2027. Efforts will also be made to include the history of Uttarakhand’s movement and various aspects of folk culture in the textbooks.
19 thousand recruitments will be done soon
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to connect the youth with government jobs or employment. For this, all the recruitment of UKSSSC has been transferred to the Public Service Commission. Of these, the recruitment process has started on about seven thousand. Whereas soon the process of recruitment on 19 thousand posts will be started. The government is going to bring many schemes soon for self-employment and employment in the private sector.
One thousand schools will be strengthened
The Chief Minister said that the quality of schools should be improved for good education. For this, the work of strengthening and expanding the infrastructure facilities of the schools will be done under the School Education Department. Two hundred schools will be transformed every year under the Transformation Program to enhance the quality of education. One thousand schools will be strengthened in the next five years. This work will be done in addition to other programs being run in other schools.
Women Safety and Empowerment Priority
The Chief Minister said that women’s safety and empowerment is the priority of the state government. Gaura Shakti App will be launched soon for the safety of women. Through this, women can come under police protection by registering themselves online. There is also a plan to make entrepreneurs by connecting ten thousand women and women’s groups with self-employment, so that they can give employment to other women as well.
