Delhi : Ajit Kumar suspended, superintendent of Tihar Jail, case related to giving VIP treatment to Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain
Major action has been taken in the case related to giving VIP treatment to Satyendar Jain, Minister of Delhi Government. Tihar Jail Superintendent Ajit Kumar Danix has been suspended. Preliminary inquiry has found that he has committed such irregularities which require investigation. This information has been given by the Jail Department of Delhi Government.
Significantly, Satyendar Jain has been in jail since his arrest in May on charges of money laundering. BJP MP Pravesh Verma had last week accused Satyendar Jain of getting VIP treatment and raised the demand to transfer him from Tihar Jail. Verma had alleged that there was a time when the accused used to get scared after hearing the name of Tihar, but the ministers of the Kejriwal government are not even afraid of jail, in fact Satyendar Jain is getting massages done there.
ED had said this in the court
Explain that the ED had told a Delhi court that Satyendar Jain misused his powers in jail and was given freshly cut fruits and massages. In fact, the ED had arrested Satyendar Jain on the basis of an FIR lodged in 2017 through the CBI under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Jain was arrested in May this year. Jain faces charges of money laundering. Apart from this, jailed thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar had also accused Satyendar Jain that Jain extorted Rs 10 crore from him in 2019 in exchange for his security in jail.
