Helipads will be made for easy access to tourist places in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary instructed the officials
Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu reviewed the progress of heliports and helipads in the Secretariat. The Chief Secretary instructed the officials to speed up the construction of heliports and helipads as well as maintain quality in the construction work. The Chief Secretary said that the places where land has been selected for helipads and heliports. Their DPR should be prepared soon. Cases stuck in land transfer should be disposed of by monitoring them daily. The Chief Secretary directed the tourism department to continuously construct new heliports and helipads keeping in mind the tourists. He said that helipads and heliports should be prepared to develop and make easy access for tourists while continuing the search for tourist places even in the far-flung unexplored areas of the state.
He said that the completion date for each helipad and heliport should be fixed in advance. Along with this, special attention should be paid to the quality in the construction of all heliports and helipads. It was informed in the meeting that the work on various heliports and helipads is progressing in the state. The work of heliport at Koti Colony has been completed. The construction work of 6 heliports is in progress, which will be completed by the month of December. The tourism department has also identified new helipads and their construction work is progressing at different levels.
