Now Aadhaar card will tell your bank balance dial this number without downloading any app

Aadhaar card is one of the most important documents for thousands of people living in India. Since its introduction, the card has become an important identity document for citizens and contains vital information such as a person’s personal details, photographs, contact details and even iris scans. Aadhaar card is also linked to people’s bank accounts, vehicles, driving license, insurance and other important documents. As said, Aadhaar cards are important for opening bank accounts, not many people know that one can check their bank balance with the help of their Aadhaar card, especially without any internet connection.

The service is not only user-friendly but also feasible for those who do not have access to smartphones or the internet. However, to check bank details with the help of your Aadhaar card, your bank account must be linked with a 12 digit unique number provided by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). That is, your mobile number should be linked to your Aadhaar.

Process to Check Your Bank Balance with Aadhaar Number

If your Aadhaar card is not linked with your bank account, then first you get linked and then follow the procedure given below.

  • After linking your bank account and Aadhaar, dial *99*99*1# from your registered mobile number.
  • Next, the automated caller will ask you to enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number provided by UIDAI.
  • Again, re-enter the Aadhaar number for verification.
  • Once done, you will receive a flash SMS from UIDAI showing your available bank balance.

This service is possible at any place and without going to ATM and above all without any app and internet. Meanwhile, UIDAI is also expected to launch several other services including money transfer and door-step services for linking mobile numbers with Aadhaar.
