Uttar Pradesh : Shocking news from Badaun, arrested for drowning a rat in a drain, Animal lover wrote FIR
A shocking case of brutally killing a rat has come to light in Badaun. In which the police have arrested the murderer youth. Along with this, the police will also conduct the post-mortem of the rat. Police has taken this action on the youth of Badaun on the complaint of animal lover. After which there has been a disturbance in the area.
Rats are there in every house. Generally, people keep rats in cages and leave them outside the house. But a young man from the city tortured and killed the mouse. Actually, the young man was tying the rat’s tail to a stone and immersing it in the drain again and again. When the animal lover passing by saw this, he threw the rat into the drain along with the stone.
The animal lover got into the drain and pulled out the rat, but by then the rat had died. When the animal lover expressed displeasure with the accused, he confronted him. When the animal lover reached Kotwali and lodged an FIR, the police arrested the accused and brought him to the police station. Now the post mortem of the rat will be done.
The case pertains to Mohalla Panwadia of Kotwali area of the city. Animal lover Vikendra Sharma, a resident of the city’s locality Kalyan Nagar, told in Tahrir in Kotwali that on Wednesday afternoon he was passing near the Panwadia power house. He saw a young man doing something sitting on the drain slab with some children.
On looking carefully, he found that he had tied a rat’s tail to a stone and was drowning it repeatedly in the drain. Seeing this he went to him and asked him not to do so. On this the young man threw the rat along with the stone into the drain. Expressing displeasure on this, Vikendra asked his name, then he told his name as Manoj Kumar.
When asked to get the rat out of the drain, he became determined to fight. On this Vikendra himself got into the drain and pulled out the rat. But shortly after being taken out, the rat died.
On Vikendra’s Tahrir, the police registered an FIR against Manoj Kumar, a resident of Panwadia, under the Animal Cruelty Act. Along with this, the accused was arrested and brought to the police station. Police has sent the rat to IVRI Bareilly for postmortem.
In this regard Inspector-in-charge Kotwali Harpal Singh Balyan said that action has been taken on the basis of Tahrir, the accused has been arrested.
