Uttarakhand : Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar held a review meeting of various programs conducted under the Eat Right Initiative

Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttarakhand Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar conducted a review meeting at Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttarakhand Headquarters. Officers of the Food Safety and Drug Cadre present in the meeting were instructed to conduct regular special campaigns for the prevention of food and drug adulteration in the state of Uttarakhand, as well as a review of various programs conducted under the Eat Right Initiative, by the Deputy Commissioner Headquarters. Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration was apprised of the progress report of FOSTAC program, high risk audit and hygiene rating etc. work conducted under the said programme.

Under the Eat Right India campaign, the commissioner directed to display the hygiene rating of hotels/restaurants in the establishments and to regularly inspect the food manufactured in the said establishments and to set up a food laboratory in Dehradun district. The proposal was directed to send the proposal to the Government / FSSAI. Along with this, Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttarakhand issued AOP for Thwak Thwatjappibanjpavd workshop to be held in the districts in the coming month.
