Uttarakhand: NHM will recruit more than 300 doctors through walk in interview

The special thing is that through NHM, the posts of doctors running vacant in the state will be filled soon through walk in interview. Shortage of doctors has always been a big issue in the state. People often have to face problems due to this shortage, especially in hilly and inaccessible areas. However, realizing the need for health services during the Corona period, a large number of appointments of doctors were made. After which now the shortage of doctors has been reduced to a great extent. Despite this, doctors are still to be recruited on 344 posts in the state.

To overcome this deficiency in government hospitals in the state, the National Health Mission is soon going to appoint doctors through walk in interview. Let us inform that 2856 posts have been fixed in the framework for doctors in the state. Out of which the posts of 1924 doctors have been filled, while there are 466 bonded doctors. Not only this, 122 contract doctors have also been deployed. In this way, at present there are 2512 doctors in the state. Director General of Health Shailja Bhatt said that efforts are being made to remove this shortage of doctors as well.

For this walk-in-interview will be done through NHM. However, he said that already MBBS doctors are being taken from the medical college and such doctors are also continuously giving joining. Not only this, efforts are being made to appoint doctors on higher salaries so that the shortage of doctors in the health sector in the state does not come in the way.
