Told that the police team had taken information about the character of the accused from the victim girl and her father and thoroughly studied the footage of about 32 CCTV cameras installed around the spot. Then a suspicious young man similar to the description appeared in the footage.

The informer system was activated on the basis of the picture obtained from the footage. After which the accused Akshay Kumar (21) son Jogendra resident of village Chowdhadi Tehsil Deoband district Saharanpur was arrested near ISBT bus stand on Thursday. A country-made pistol was recovered from him. The accused will be produced before the court. Accused Akshay told during interrogation that he was in love with a girl and they used to talk to each other for almost two years. About five months ago there was a dispute between them over something. Due to which the talk between the two was closed. She told that I tried to meet her many times and talk to her, but she was neither meeting me nor talking to me. Due to which I got angry and in a fit of rage I reached his house in Shivalik Enclave, Banjarawala with my friend Nakul.

There she saw me coming from her scooty outside the house and I tried to talk to her but she was not talking to me. After this I got angry and fired at him. But during this she escaped and escaped.
