3 thousand government schools are going to be closed in Uttarakhand

Big news is coming out from the Uttarakhand Education Department, according to which about 3 thousand government schools with minimum number of students will be closed from the next academic session. In an order given by the Director General of Education to the Director of Education, Basic Education, it has been said that schools with 5 or less student strength in hilly areas and 10 or less students in plain areas will be closed and the children of these schools will be sent to nearby excellent schools. There are about 3,000 schools in the state with a student strength of 10 or less. At least four teachers will be provided in excellence schools.

According to the information, the food mothers working in the schools from where the students are being accommodated will not be removed. The schools to which the students are being sent will be accommodated in the same school. The Director General of Education said that the action to identify such schools will be taken before the academic session 2023-24.
