The incident is of Jahangirabad area of Bulandshahr district. District police said that on November 29, cash worth Rs 30 lakh was stolen from a businessman’s car. Now the police have arrested six accused in this case and Rs 1.12 crore has been recovered from them. The police have now started interrogating the accused as well as the person who lodged the theft case.

Trader was going to Ghaziabad by car

Police said that investigation has been started to find out the source of such a huge amount. The Income Tax Department has also been informed about the matter. A senior police officer of the district said that businessman AV Surya Subbarao had stopped at a roadside dhaba in Bulandshahr on his way to his home in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram on November 29.

The role of the driver came to the fore

While having breakfast at the dhaba, he had left the bag full of cash and some other documents in the car. His driver Ranjit Singh was present in the car. But when he returned to his car after breakfast, the bag full of cash and documents were missing. On the complaint of the businessman, the police registered a case under section 379 (theft) of the IPC. According to the information, he had talked about stealing Rs 30 lakh.

Police got more than one crore rupees

Police had formed a police team along with SOG to crack the case and arrest the accused. Now the police have arrested the driver Ranjit Singh, his brother Nempal resident of Jahangirabad and their four accomplices on charges in the case. Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar said that the police searched the hideout of the accused to recover the stolen cash and documents, then we found more than Rs 1 crore in cash.
