Bihar / Sharif: When the bike was not found, the in-laws forced the married woman to drink poison

In Pachasa village of Bhagan Bigha police station area, after not getting bike and gold chain in dowry, husband and in-laws forced a woman to drink poison, due to which she died. After the death, all the members of the house including the husband have left the village and fled. On the information of the parents, the police sent the dead body to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased has been identified as Mandvi Kumari, 25-year-old wife of married Raju Yadav. Vipin Kumar, brother of the deceased, a resident of Tribhuvanbigha of Tharthari police station area, said that in 2017, the sister was married with pomp to Raju Yadav, son of Chandeshwar Yadav. Everything went well for a few days after the wedding. After this, demand for bike and gold chain started from husband and in-laws. For this he was repeatedly tortured.

Married woman gave information about poisoning on phone

In the year 2020 also, there was an agreement between the two sides. After this Mandvi had gone to her in-laws’ house. Despite this, the process of beating and harassing him continued. Late on Sunday night, she called her mother and told that her husband and in-laws had forcibly given her poison. After this, when the maternal uncle reached his in-laws, his dead body was lying in the room. At the same time, the husband and other in-laws were absconding leaving the village.

Police handed over the dead body after postmortem

Police Station President Jitendra Kumar told that the parents are accusing him of murder by giving poison. A case has been registered against nine people including the husband. Postmortem of the dead body has been done and handed over to the relatives. Police is conducting raids to arrest.
