Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Royal Stag liquor in Chivas bottle, stock caught from warehouse built in house

Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky. Royal Stag liquor worth Rs 400 was being sold in this bottle worth about Rs 4000. When the Excise came to know about it, the entire stock was seized from a house near Sahasradhara crossing. The Excise team has recovered 150 cases of liquor from here. Apart from this, empty and full bottles of expensive brands have been recovered from the spot. Monograms of Uttarakhand Excise have been seized from the spot. Excise has registered a case against the businessman.
District Excise Officer Rajeev Chauhan said that information was being received for a long time that a person named Jaiswal was selling liquor from Haryana in Sahasradhara Road area. Based on this information, a house at Sahasradhara crossing was raided. There were a lot of empty and filled bottles lying there. People fled from here even before the team arrived. There were also many tools lying in the warehouse, with which the bottles were opened and closed. A total of 150 cases of English liquor have been recovered.
After investigation, it was found that all of them used to bring cheap branded liquor from Haryana and Chandigarh. After this, they were sold in bottles of Chivas Regal, Johnnie Walker, Ballantines, J&B, Glenlivet, Jameson, etc. brands. Excise has registered a case against a person named Deepak Jaiswal. He fled from the spot, in search of whom raids are on. Chauhan told that earlier cases against Deepak are also being investigated. He will be arrested soon.
Liquor was supplied at weddings and parties
The District Excise Officer said that this liquor was supplied at weddings and parties for Rs 1500 to 2000. Apart from this, information is also being sought from where these people supply them. Supply on contracts is also being investigated. For this, investigation is being done by forming different teams.
Deepak Jaiswal is an old liquor businessman
Deepak Jaiswal is an old liquor businessman. Although at present there is no contract in his name in the district, but he has also taken shops under many other names. In such a situation, it is possible that by forgery, he is supplying these bottles on these contracts as well. Chauhan told that three teams are raiding different places in search of Deepak.
