Uttar Pradesh : Lotus blossomed after 45 years in Rampur, Azam Khan’s reign ended

The counting of votes for Azam Khan’s Gad Rampur assembly by-election is over. The BJP has captured the bastion of SP leader Azam Khan. BJP candidate Akash Saxena has registered a resounding victory from Sadar seat. Akash Saxena has got 80964 votes, while SP candidate Asim Raza has got 47262 votes. Akash Saxena has won by 33,702 votes. With this, for the first time after independence, BJP has entered Rampur.
Akash Saxena of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeated the SP in Rampur. Asim Raza, who maintained a steady lead since morning, finally lost the election. BJP defeated him by a margin of more than 34 thousand votes. Let us tell you that the lowest turnout of 33.94 per cent was recorded in Rampur seat in the past. BJP candidate Ashish Saxena targeted SP candidates Azim Raza and Azam Khan when the counting of votes began on Thursday.
He called Azim a puppet of Azam Khan. Also, Ashish Saxena claimed victory in Rampur. At the same time, Asim Raza accused the administration that two and a half lakh people were not allowed to vote. Elections have not been allowed to be held in Rampur. Raza even went so far as to say that we will not be able to win the election and said this he came out of the counting place.
