Uttarakhand / Dehradun : When the husband refused to talk on the phone, the wife became enraged, embraced death, got married 10 days ago

After 10 days of marriage, a married woman died under suspicious circumstances. Her dead body was found hanging at her husband’s aunt’s house. The married woman and her in-laws are originally from Bihar and work as laborers. Initial investigation has revealed that the married woman’s husband had forbidden her from talking on the phone. Enraged by this, he committed suicide. In the presence of the magistrate, the post-mortem has been done by filling the panchnama of the dead body.

The incident is of Shastri Nagar Khala under Vasant Vihar police station area. Here Raj Kishore, a native of Bihar, lives at his aunt’s house. He was married 10 days ago in Bihar. After this he also brought his wife Babita (19 years) here. Raj Kishore works as a laborer and had gone to work early on Thursday morning. After this, at around eight o’clock in the morning, Raj Kishore’s cousin saw that Babita had put a noose on the rod on the roof with a chunri. When the girl raised an alarm, the people around reached there. Everyone took the married woman to the hospital in a private ambulance but the doctors declared Babita dead.

There was a fight between the two

Inspector Vasant Vihar Hoshiar Singh told that after the incident the family members present in the house were talked to. He told that Babita and Raj Kishore did not have mobiles but still Babita used to talk to others’ phones. There used to be a fight between the two regarding this matter. Raj Kishore interrupted Babita on Wednesday night as well. That’s why he committed suicide. Babita’s family works as laborers in Haryana. They have also been informed.
