The constable was badly injured due to the beating of the policemen, who has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. At the same time, after registering a case against the victim constable’s Tahrir, after identifying the constables in the viral video, he was suspended with immediate effect.
Constable Mukesh Dubey, posted in District Jail Rae Bareli, is posted on Bhandare duty in the jail. He was going to his residence after finishing his duty. Meanwhile, 5 soldiers posted in the jail attacked with sticks and rods. Victim constable Mukesh Dubey alleged that he was badly beaten by 5 jail constables. Accusing the 5 constables, Mukesh Dubey said that they were pressurizing him to spoil the quality of the food being made inside the Bhandara. The pressure makers are orderlies of high officials posted in the jail and run private canteens. Mukesh told that the sale of private canteens was being affected due to the good food being prepared in Bhandara. Due to this, the canteen operators got him beaten up by their trusted soldiers.
At the same time, Ruchi, the wife of constable Mukesh Dubey, who was injured in the attack, told that the people who attacked run an illegal canteen inside the jail. For the last 1 month, the jail soldiers running the canteen were pressurizing them to disturb the food given to the prisoners, so that the jailed prisoners could take food from the canteen. But he did not compromise on the quality of food provided to the prisoners. Angered by this, constables Vijay Singh, Saurabh Verma, Pravesh Singh, Rajeev Shukla and Jaswant Kumar attacked him on Tuesday.
