As soon as the news of the paper leak of the Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment exam held on January 8 of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission came to the fore, people’s anger erupted on the streets. Disappointment is increasing among the youth due to continuous reports of rigging in the examinations. People’s anger was visible on the streets on Friday. On one hand, Youth Congress workers protested heavily. So there Aam Aadmi Party workers also burnt the effigy of the state government. By breaking the barrier, the protesters kept trying to enter the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission office. The police also lost their sweat in removing the people from here.
The paper of the Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment examination held on January 8 of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was leaked. Sanjeev Chaturvedi, Section Officer of the Top Secret Department of the Paper Commission, got it leaked along with his wife. STF has arrested five including section officer, wife. Examination material and Rs 41.50 lakh have been recovered from them. The commission has canceled the Patwari recruitment exam, suspending the accused section officer. STF disclosed the paper leak of Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment on Thursday. SSP STF Ayush Aggarwal said that two days after the exam paper leak was reported, on which four STF teams were formed and sent to Haridwar and surrounding areas. In the initial investigation, the hand of an employee of the commission itself was coming to the fore. A candidate disclosed the name of Sanjeev Chaturvedi, Section Officer of the Commission.
The STF probed it deeply and took him into custody. After questioning him, it was found that section officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi made the paper available to wife Ritu after taking a photo of the paper from the highly confidential office. After this Ritu gave this paper to Rajpal. Rajpal, along with his other people, delivered the paper to the candidates and got them solved in two form houses (Biharigarh and Laksar).
On the basis of interrogation, STF arrested Sanjeev Chaturvedi’s accomplice Rajpal, Sanjeev Kumar, Ramkumar. Till the time of writing the news, STF had recovered 41 lakh 50 thousand rupees from the accused in addition to the question papers. Late in the evening STF also arrested Sanjeev Chaturvedi’s wife Ritu. A case under IPC 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B and Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Prevention Act 1998 has been registered in Kankhal police station of Haridwar in the matter.
After getting the information, State Public Service Commission Secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat suspended Section Officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi. He has been attached to the Secretary’s office. Along with this, the commission has canceled the Patwari-Lekhpal exam held on January 8. Now this exam will be held again on February 12. The Assistant Accountant exam proposed on February 12 will now be conducted on February 19.
As many as 1,58,210 candidates were registered for the commission’s Patwari Lekhpal exam held on January 8. Of these, 1,14,071 appeared for the exam. This examination was conducted by the commission at 498 centers in the state. Will be according to
