ISRO will give official information, spoke to the Director, Cabinet Minister, Dhan Singh Rawat

ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) had released some satellite pictures regarding the Joshimath landslide. Taking these satellite pictures, it is being claimed that in the last 12 days, Joshimath has sunk up to 5.4 cm. However, when Uttarakhand cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat was questioned about this, he said that he himself had spoken to the director of ISRO. The director of ISRO has said that the news about Joshimath sinking is not the official statement of ISRO.

According to Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the director of ISRO has told him that he will issue an official statement today regarding the satellite images and will tell what is the real situation of Joshimath. Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said, he will be able to say anything on this matter only after ISRO’s official statement. At the same time, Rawat says that at this time the people of Joshimath are quite scared. In such a situation, the coming of these pictures is not right. By the way, ISRO itself has admitted that no such official report has been issued on its behalf. On the other hand, regarding the cabinet meeting, the minister said that today there was a detailed discussion in the cabinet regarding Joshimath. The people of Joshimath have told their problems to the Chief Minister, himself and the administrative officials and they have some demands, all of which have been discussed in the cabinet meeting.

ISRO’s report claims

Let us tell you that ISRO’s satellite pictures were claimed in the news that the matter of land subsidence was slow from April to November 2022, in this seven months Joshimath has sunk 8.9 cm, but from December 27, 2022 to January 7, 2023 i.e. 12 cm. In days, the intensity of land subsidence increased to 5.4 cm. That is, Joshimath has suffered the most in 12 days. However, these claims have not been told by Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat as the official report of ISRO.
