Uttarakhand / Dehradun: The forest department broke the illegal tomb built inside the forest, took possession of its land

The forest department again took possession of the illegally occupied land for the illegal tomb and cemetery built in Kalsi area in Chakrata Reserve Forest of Dehradun district. According to the information, the higher officials of the Forest Department broke the illegal tombs by taking their team of workers.
According to the forest department, 2.65 hectares of reserved forest land in Kalsi room number-17 under Chakrata Forest Division has been encroached upon for years by illegal encroachment (cemetery/mazar). No case of protest against the Muslim community has come to light during the demolition process. For the protection of the said area, plantation work has been proposed in the coming monsoon period by fencing the forestry.
Notable is the Forest Room of Kalsi region. A conspiracy was being hatched by the Muslim community to build a graveyard by illegally occupying it. This forest area is in the reserve forest boundary of Chakrata and it is difficult for the common man to go here. Despite this, construction work was done by encroachment here and a mausoleum was also built illegally on top of the hill. In this reserve forest area till a few years back SSB guerillas used to be trained. There is also an army camp nearby, where training programs often go on.
The way Mazar Jihad was started in the forests in Uttarakhand, in the same order illegal construction was done here by encroachment. Protests were lodged by Hindu organizations on this illegal construction for some time and continuous complaints were lodged with the district administration, state government, central government and the PM’s office regarding this. According to the information, when the answer was called from the state forest department by the Union Forest Ministry, there was a stir. Even the CMO was constantly being questioned by the Forest Department, the reason behind which was clearly that how the illegal shrine was built after entering the reserve forest?
Finally, the Forest Department officials along with their force demolished the illegal construction by taking a team of laborers. The special thing is that there is no Muslim population far and wide around this reserve forest and if there is a population adjacent to the forest, it is of Hindus, by whom this illegal occupation was being opposed.
It was also accepted by the DFO of Chakrata that encroachment has been done here and police force will be required to remove it. It is being told that the Muslim community was also putting pressure on the DM Dehradun to declare this controversial land as a cemetery, on which the DM had also sent a letter in this regard to the Forest Department, while the Forest Department’s reserve forest land The right to give or transfer to anyone is also with the Central Government. This was the reason why the Union Forest Ministry took this matter seriously and took a strict stand.
The news of illegal mausoleum and graveyard being built in the Chakrata Reserve Forest area and the information being sought from the state government in this regard by the central government was prominently published on its social and digital platforms, which the state government immediately took cognizance
