Yellow alert for 3 days in these states including Delhi-UP, then dense fog hit

In some states of North India, there was relief from cold wave for some time, but according to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be a tremendous return of cold in many other states of North India including Delhi. The minimum temperature in Delhi today was recorded at 1.4 degrees. According to meteorologist RK Janamani, cold wave conditions may prevail in Delhi for the next two days. Also, the minimum temperature can also be recorded at 1.4 degrees for the next two days. After that, a rise in temperature can be seen from January 18.

It is freezing cold from the mountains to the plains. The effect of snowfall on the mountains is also visible in the plains. In view of the forecast of severe cold, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 3 days in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, apart from Delhi.

Delhi weather
According to IMD, there will be an outbreak of cold wave on 16, 17 and 18 January, while there will be dense fog on 19, 20 and 21 January. During this, the temperature at the main stations of Delhi-NCR can reach 3 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature can reach 21 degree Celsius.

Double attack of fog and cold wave
According to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be a double attack of fog and cold on Delhi. Sheetlahar will once again capture Delhi. At the same time, fog can also increase the problems of the people. According to meteorologists, this change in the weather often happens due to the departure of Western Disturbance. The Meteorological Department said that a new Western Disturbance will be active from January 20, then people will get relief from the cold.

Yellow alert in Delhi
It is generally seen that every year after Lohri and Makar Sankranti i.e. January 14, the cold starts getting lighter, but this time from January 15 itself, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi and NCR i.e. It is being speculated that between January 16 and 18, the cold will be at its peak.

According to meteorologists, the reason behind this alert of falling temperature is also a western disturbance. Because of this, cold winds come in many areas of North India, which are called Sheetlahar. It is because of this Western Disturbance that there is snowfall in the mountains, whose winds come towards Delhi. This is the reason that the temperature of the capital is falling.

When will you get relief from cold?
Mahesh Palawat, scientist of the weather forecasting agency Skymet, informed that snowfall has been going on in the mountains of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand for two days, due to which the temperature is falling. Mahesh Palawat says that during the cold wave the temperature will be around 3 degrees. At the same time, in some places the temperature is expected to reach two degrees. However, from January 20, there will be moisture in the air, after which there is a possibility of relief from the cold.

Severe cold in Gujarat too
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a condition of cold wave in many areas of Gujarat. According to IMD, there is a possibility of cold wave conditions in Saurashtra and Kutch districts mainly in Rajkot, Porbandar and Kutch today and tomorrow.
