CM Dhami meets Home Minister Amit Shah, gives feedback in Joshimath case

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday. During this, Chief Minister Dhami gave feedback to Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Joshimath landslide. Apart from this, there was also a discussion between the two leaders regarding the development works of the state government and the work of the ministers. During this, in a conversation with journalists, CM Dhami said that I have informed Home Minister Amit Shah about the current situation in Joshimath. The state government is taking all necessary steps for rescue and relief operations.

BJP also submitted the report

At the same time, Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt has submitted the report to BJP National President JP Nadda regarding the situation in Joshimath. Let us tell you that a 14-member BJP team had gone to the spot to know about the landslide in Joshimath. During this, the team met the affected people in Joshimath and took stock of the damage and prepared a detailed report, which has been handed over to JP Nadd.

PM is reviewing in Joshimath case

CM Dhami said that we are constantly monitoring the situation in Joshimath. We are getting all the necessary cooperation from the Central Government. PM Modi is regularly reviewing the matter and soon we will have the report and arrangements will be made to rehabilitate the residents there. CM further said that it is a natural calamity. This is not a political matter. Everyone should come forward and help find a solution.

It is not right to spread rumors about Chardham Yatra

CM Dhami said that Chardham Yatra will start after four months. That’s why it is not right to spread false rumors about the situation in Uttarakhand. People should not make assumptions about the situation from a distance. Let us tell you that after the Joshimath landslide, questions have started to arise on Chardham Yatra as well. The question is, can the Yatra crisis deepen amid the deepening crisis at Joshimath, the gateway to Badrinath? Joshimath is considered as the entry gate to go to Badrinath. The only way to go here is from this side. Joshimath used to be an important stop for the pilgrims of Badrinath. But now Joshimath is in danger zone.

Place selected for displaced people of Joshimath

Let us tell you that the number of cracks in the houses is increasing with each passing day in Joshimath. On Wednesday, this figure has reached close to 900. An expert team of Geological Survey of India (GSI) has selected four places for the displaced people of Joshimath. The team has been tasked to study the possible areas for rehabilitation of the affected residents of Joshimath. The team has cleared four nearby places – Koti Farm, Pipalkoti, Herbal Research and Development Institute (HRDI) land and Dhak village. The survey is still going on for two other places – Gauchar town and Selang village.

GSI chose these four places

Koti Farm is on revenue land and is about 12 km from Joshimath. A road to Auli also goes through Koti Farm. Another option is Pipalkoti, which is about 36 km from Joshimath, which has a vast land. Joshimath, land owned by HRDI, is about 9 km from the nearest place.

Models of prefabricated cottages will be prepared

Disaster Management Secretary RK Sinha said that the process of mechanical demolition of 15 damaged buildings in JP Colony of Joshimath has been started. Under the displacement process, the process of making prefabricated cottages at TCP Tiraha has started. He told that initially 1BHK, 2BHK and 3 BHK K3 models will be built at TCP Tiraha. Along with this, after talking to the affected people, the process of making further prefabricated cottages will be started.
