Ram Rahim will come out again, got parole for 40 days only after 56 days; Rape was done with the student

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has once again got parole. This parole has been granted within 56 days. Ram Rahim got parole in October last year as well.

40 day parole
Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been given parole for 40 days by the Haryana government. Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was again granted parole for 40 days on Friday, officials said. “The parole has been granted for 40 days. It has been granted as per rules,” Rohtak Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma told PTI over phone.

Got parole many times
The Dera chief’s last 40-day parole ended on November 25 last year. He came out of jail on parole on 14 October. The Dera chief came out of jail on a one-month parole in June, ahead of his October parole. Apart from this, barely two weeks before the Punjab assembly elections, parole was also granted for three weeks from February 7, 2022.

Why question the Haryana government
Haryana government has been criticized for getting parole to Ram Rahim. It is alleged that Ram Rahim gets parole for electoral gains. During his last parole period in October-November, the Dera chief had conducted several online satsangs at the Barnawa ashram in UP. Then BJP leaders from Haryana also participated in some of these programmes.

Punishment in rape case
Ram Rahim has been found guilty of raping two of his female students. He has been sentenced to 20 years. In 2021 the Dera chief, along with four others, was also convicted for conspiring to murder Dera manager Ranjit Singh. The Dera chief and three others were convicted in 2019 for the murder of a journalist 16 years ago.
