Good news for Haj pilgrims, application for Haj will be free, read highlights of new Haj policy
The Ministry of Minority Affairs has released the Haj Policy (Hajj 2023) on Monday. According to the Haj Policy 2023, this time the application will be free. That is, no fee will be charged from the Haj pilgrims for the application. Till now Rs 400 was taken in the name of application per passenger. Apart from this, a per-passenger discount of about Rs 50 thousand will also be given. At the same time, Haj pilgrims will no longer have to pay for items like bags, suitcases, umbrellas, sheets. They will be able to buy goods at their own level.
Highlights of the new Haj policy
▪️Preference will be given to the elderly, differently-abled and women.
▪️Any woman above 45 years can now apply for Haj alone.
▪️This time out of the total quota of one lakh 75 thousand, 80 percent will be allotted to Haj Committee and 20 percent to private operators.
▪️Those who have already traveled on behalf of the Haj Committee will not be eligible to apply.
▪️The health check-up will have to be done only in the government hospital. Private hospital test will not be valid.
