Now traveling in UP Roadways buses has become expensive, know- how much the fare has increased?

The fare of roadways buses has been increased in Uttar Pradesh, which has been decided by the Uttar Pradesh State Transport Authority (UPSRTC). The fares of the buses have been increased by about 24 percent. This decision has been implemented in Uttar Pradesh from Monday. On the other hand, UPSRTC has cited expensive diesel as the reason for the increase in fare. The board told that earlier in the year 2020, the rates were increased. Earlier in 2020, when the fare of buses was increased, then diesel was close to Rs 63.50 per liter and now when diesel is close to Rs 90, the buses have been increased by 25 paise per kilometer. Till now the fare of roadways buses was Rs 1.05 per km, but from Monday the new fare has become Rs 1.30 per km.

The fare of air conditioned buses also increased

Along with the increase in the fare of ordinary bus service, there has also been an increase in the fare of air-conditioned buses of the corporation. The fare of Janrath bus 3*3 is 163.86 paise, Janrath bus 2×2 fare is 193.76 paise, air conditioned sleeper bus fare is 258.78 paise and Volvo bus fare is 286.14 paise per passenger per kilometer. Even after the above increase in the fare, the fare of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation is less than the states of Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Himachal.

Please tell that after the order was issued on Monday, the fare of roadways buses has been implemented. With this, now passengers will have to spend more money to buy tickets. When the new fare is implemented, the fare has increased at the rate of 25 paise per kilometer. That is, earlier the rate per kilometer was 1.05 paise, whereas now it has been increased by 25 paise per kilometer to 1.30 paise.
