Madhya Pradesh: Lawyers will not do judicial work from March 23, opposing the order to dispose of 25 cases in three months

All over the state, from Thursday 23rd to 25th March, advocates will observe Protest Day by abstaining from court work. This information was given in a letter by RK Singh Saini, 22 Chairman of MP State Advocate Council, Treasurer Manish Tiwari and Honorary Secretary Radhelal Gupta. Addressing the press conference, Chairman Mr. Saini informed that the High Court has ordered 25 cases to be resolved within a time limit of three months. Due to which the purpose of justice is being defeated.
Due to which protests are going on in the courts across the state. On March 2, a meeting was held with the Chief Justice by the members of the SBC, in which he assured to take a positive decision, but till now no positive initiative has been taken by the High Court in this regard. On which a letter was again sent to the High Court, but no response has been received till now. Whereas on March 18, in the general body meeting of SBC, it was decided that if the High Court does not withdraw the said order by March 22, then from March 23, the advocates across the state will abstain from court work till March 25. If the High Court does not take any positive initiative till March 25, then on March 26, the general body meeting of SBC will be held again and further outline will be decided.
Advocate Protection Act should be implemented in the state on the lines of Rajasthan
SBC’s twenty- two chairman RK Singh Saini and treasurer Manish Tiwari told that the Advocate Protection Act has been implemented in Rajasthan, whereas in MP this demand has been going on for years. Not only this, the state chief Shivraj Singh Chouhan had talked about the implementation of the Advocates Protection Act in the Advocate Panchayat, but no decision has been taken on it yet. Due to which the advocates will agitate for the demand of Advocate Protection Act in the interest of the advocates in future. The government should also implement the Advocate Protection Act in the state like Rajasthan.
