Uttarakhand: CM Dhami did on-site inspection of reconstruction works of damaged roads and pillars in Song bridge, Gram Panchayat Khairi Mansingh, instructions given to complete the construction work soon

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday conducted a site inspection of the reconstruction works of damaged roads and bulwarks in the disaster-affected Saung bridge, Gram Panchayat Khairi Mansingh in the month of October 2022 in Raipur area. During the on-site inspection of Song bridge, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to speed up the construction of safety walls in the river. Directing the District Officer, he said that a proposal should be sent as soon as possible for the channelization of the Saung river and for the disposal of all other objections, action should be taken at the government level soon. He said that security walls should be constructed and channelizing work should be done expeditiously in the areas where more erosion may occur.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in 2022, rapid action has been taken in the reconstruction work after the damage caused during the disaster. Today, while conducting on-site inspection of all those construction works, review reports have been taken from various departments. He said that channelization action should be taken before monsoon in all those areas/rivers where there is a possibility of damage. He said that before the monsoon, the work of water drainage, removal of already lying debris and security walls should be done on priority.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials to expedite the reconstruction of damaged roads in Gram Panchayat Khairi Mansingh and construction of security wall under the road. During this, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, District Magistrate Sonika and others were present.
