After three years, Corona is scaring again! Maximum number of cases after 146 days, take these 8 precautions

After three years, once again the coronavirus has started to scare in the country. The number of corona patients is continuously increasing in the whole country and the number of active cases is increasing rapidly. The daily positivity rate has also increased and it is 1.33 percent. In the last 24 hours, 1,590 new patients of corona have been found. This number is the highest in 146 days. Now the number of active cases of COVID-19 in India has increased to 8601. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has come on alert mode. The ministry has issued a joint advisory regarding the corona. It has appealed to take precautions to prevent the spread of diseases. Emphasis has been laid on increasing awareness about keeping hands clean and other precautions like breathing problems.
The Ministry of Health has given these instructions…
i) Especially the already sick and the elderly should avoid going to crowded and bad airy places.
ii) Doctors, paramedics and other functions on duty in health care facilities as well as patients and their relatives must wear masks.
iii) Must wear mask in crowded and closed places.
iv) Handkerchief/tissue should be used to cover the nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing.
v) Maintain hand hygiene. Keep washing your hands frequently.
vi) Refrain from spitting in public places.
vii) Testing should be encouraged and information should be shared soon in case of symptoms.
viii) Caution needs to be taken if suffering from respiratory diseases. Intermingling should be limited.
The Ministry says that adequate arrangements should be made for medicines, beds, ICU beds and other preparations in the hospital. It will be necessary to take stock of the preparedness of the hospital. Medical equipment, medical oxygen, current guidelines as well as human resources on vaccination coverage. It may be noted. In this regard, a nationwide mock drill is being planned on April 10 and 11, in which people associated with health facilities (both public and private) from all districts will participate. Earlier, on March 27 (4:30 – 5:30 PM) there will be a virtual meeting, in which the states will be given complete information about the mock-drill.
Increase in cases since mid-February
Dr. Rajeev Bahl, Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, have written letters to all the States/Union Territories regarding testing for Corona. In this, he has given information about the plan to test the preparations of the government hospital amidst the increasing cases of COVID-19 and Influenza disease. The letter pointed out that the country is witnessing a steady increase in COVID-19 cases since mid-February.
Most of the active COVID-19 cases in the country are being reported from a few states like Kerala (26.4 per cent), Maharashtra (21.7 per cent), Gujarat (13.9 per cent), Karnataka (8.6 per cent) and Tamil Nadu (6.3 per cent). While the rate of hospitalization and death due to the disease has been low. All states and union territories have been asked to insist on vaccination for COVID-19.
‘The possibility of Omicron’s new variant XBB.1.16 increased’
Dr. Dhiren Gupta, Senior Consultant, Department of Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care at Sir Gangaram Hospital, said that the situation of COVID-19 is changing since last one week. Cases are increasing continuously. The new cases are likely to be the XBB.1.16 variant of Omicron. Its symptoms are likely to be similar. Already sick and senior citizens should be more careful.
152 new cases of corona came in Delhi
On Friday, 152 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Delhi. Here the rate of infection has gone up to 6.66 percent. According to the Health Department, the positivity rate was 4.95 percent on Thursday and 117 cases were registered. Earlier, in Delhi last October, three digit number of cases were registered. Delhi has seen an increase in the number of new corona cases in the last few days amid a rapid increase in H3N2 influenza cases in the country.
The positivity rate in Delhi was 5.08 percent on Wednesday and 84 coronavirus cases were found. Similarly, on Tuesday the positivity rate was 5.83 and 83 cases were registered. On Friday, the number of cases had increased to 152 with a positivity rate of 6.66 percent. A decline in the number of new cases was seen in the last few months.
