Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad: Former block chief Lalit Kaushik arrested for kidnapping and beating a villager, sent to jail
A case has been registered at Moradabad’s Moondhapande police station against three people, including former block chief Lalit Kaushik, for taking a villager hostage, beating and making him a liar. Police arrested Lalit Kaushik in this case and presented him in the court, from where he has been sent to jail. Police is searching for other accused.
Omprakash, a resident of Moondhapande and a laborer at a brick kiln, has filed a case against Lalit Kaushik, former block head of Moondhapande, resident of Deen Dayal Nagar, Satish Singh, resident of Moondhapande, Shivkumar, the head husband. In which Omprakash told that on December 31, 22, Satish Singh called and called him to Modi Hotel in Rampur. He went to the hotel with his brother Yadram and father-in-law Prempal. Then Satish called Shivkumar. Shivkumar and Lalit Kaushik had talked to his wife Geeta over the phone. Shivkumar and Lalit Kaushik called Satish over phone and called him to Moradabad. After this, his brother and father-in-law were sent back home.
The victim told that he was taken to the CO Highway office at night itself. Lalit Kaushik kept sitting in his car. When the CO was not found in his office, he was made to sit in a park, where Lalit Kaushik and Shiv Kumar, along with their companions, pointed rifles and pistols at him. On the basis of which, by making him lie, made a video with a camera and mobile. In which Mandal President BJP Mundhapande Ranjit Singh, area panchayat member husband Yashpal Singh, along with summoning the name of the leader was also called from me and after that Shivkumar and Lalit Kaushik took him hostage in the factory located in Lakri Fazalpur.
It is alleged that here the victim was given intoxicating pills and drugs. It is alleged that on January 2, the accused presented the victim and his wife before the CO. After this, the victim was again held hostage in the factory while his wife and daughter were sent to some other place in another vehicle. On February 3, the victim had escaped by jumping over the wall of the factory. After this he had reached his sister Ramkriti’s house in Fatehganj district Bareilly. He was very scared and scared.
On March 22, 2023, while going from Pili Kothi to Tehsil, Lalit Kaushik again caught hold of Akbar’s fort and abused him. It is alleged that Lalit Kaushik threatened that he will continue to wander like this, we have killed whoever collided with us. Same will happen to you. Mundapande police arrested former block chief Lalit Kaushik after registering a case in this matter on Thursday. Police presented Lalit Kaushik in the court under tight security, from where the accused has been sent to jail. Search is on for other accused.
