ISRO’s big achievement, 36 satellites were successfully placed in the prescribed orbit through LVM3

Indian Space Research Organization has achieved a major success by successfully placing 36 satellites of UK-based Oneweb group company in their designated orbit using LVM3 rocket.

Sriharikota Andhra Pradesh The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Sunday achieved another milestone by successfully placing 36 satellites of UK-based Oneweb group company in their designated orbit through LVM3 rocket. ISRO’s 43.5-metre-tall rocket was blasted off at 9 am on Sunday from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, about 135 km from Chennai, after a 24.5-hour countdown.

This was the second launch for OneWeb
Britain’s Network Access Associates Limited OneWeb Group Company has entered into an agreement with ISRO’s commercial arm NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) to launch 72 satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO). This was the second launch for OneWeb under this agreement. The first 36 satellites for the OneWeb Group company were launched on 23 October 2022. OneWeb is a global communications network operated from space, which provides connectivity to governments and industries.

LVM3-M3/OneWeb-India-2 mission accomplished
ISRO said through its official social media account, LVM3M3OneWebIndia2 mission has been completed. All 36 OneWeb Gen1 satellites have been placed in the designated orbits. LVM3 in its sixth consecutive launch carried 5,805 kg payload into low Earth orbit. ISRO Chairman S Somnath congratulated NSIL, ISRO and OneWeb for the successful launch of LVM3M3OneWebIndia2 mission.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh lauded ISRO for Sunday’s successful launch. He tweeted, I am proud to be associated with the Department of Space at a time when India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as a leading country in the world in the field of space technology. Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Swatantra Prabhar Singh said, the ISRO team has achieved another major achievement. Successful launch of LVM3M3OneWebIndia2 mission.

SSLV/D2-EOS 07 was successfully launched in Feb
Sunday’s launch was the 18th launch of OneWeb Group Company, while this is the second launch of 2023 for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Earlier in February, SSLVD2EOS 07 was successfully launched.

OneWeb – The number of satellites installed in the Earth’s orbit has increased to 616
With Sunday’s launch, the number of satellites put in orbit by OneWeb has increased to 616, which is enough to launch global services this year. OneWeb said that this mission is the second launch of satellites by OneWeb from India, which shows the relationship between the UK and the Indian space industry.

This is the sixth launch of LVM 3
The company said that OneWeb will provide secure connectivity not only to India’s enterprises, but also to its towns, villages, municipal corporations and schools in areas where access is difficult. This is the sixth launch of LVM-3. It was earlier known as Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle MKIII.
