Russia reacts to Finland joining NATO, Moscow will increase military capacity on western border

Russia has reacted strongly to Finland joining NATO. Russia has said that this step taken by Finland will further increase the Ukraine conflict. The Kremlin said on Tuesday that Russia would be forced to reciprocate after Finland joined the NATO military alliance. At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that this move by Finland would give a boost to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Russia is closely monitoring
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow has long criticized NATO expansion. He said, “This move by Finland encroaches on our security and national interests. We will watch closely any NATO military deployment in Finland.” It is known that Russia and Finland share a border of 1,300 kilometers. At the same time, Moscow said it would strengthen troops stationed along its west and northwest borders.

Russia reacted to Finland’s move
Let us tell you that Finland is going to formally join the military alliance on Tuesday. The Russian Defense Minister said that Finland’s entry into NATO risks an escalation of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, he said that this step will not affect Russia’s ongoing special military operation in Ukraine.

Russia says that in February 2022 they sent their armed forces to Ukraine because Ukraine was to be used as a platform by the West to threaten Russia.

Russia will use Belarus
Explain that in view of such steps, Russia is also now using Belarus. Defense Minister Shoigu said Russia is also taking steps to increase the nuclear strike capability of its close ally Belarus in response. He added that some Belarusian military jets are now capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

President Vladimir Putin said last month that Russia would deploy tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.
