The girl traveled in bikini in Delhi Metro, DMRC said this after the photo went viral

The video of a girl traveling in Delhi Metro wearing a bikini is in the limelight. There has been an uproar on social media about this. Some people expressed displeasure over it, while some supported it. In the midst of all this, the DMRC (Delhi Metro  Rail Corporation’s statement has come.

‘No such activity should be done’

In this, DMRC said that we expect our passengers to follow the kind of social etiquette and protocol that is accepted in the society.  Passengers should not wear any dress or do any activity that hurts the sensibilities of fellow passengers.

‘Maintain decorum while traveling in metro’

Indecency has been considered a punishable offense under Section-59 of the DMRC Operation and Maintenance Act.  We appeal to all the passengers to maintain decorum while traveling in Metro.  DMRC also said that the choice of clothing while traveling is a personal matter, but passengers are expected to behave like a responsible citizen.

Big decision of DMRC due to IPL

On the other hand, DMRC has taken a big decision in view of the IPL matches at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium (Ferozshah Kotla).  DMRC has announced to extend the timing of last train on all lines of Delhi Metro for the convenience of the visitors using Metro.  Significantly, Arun Jaitley Stadium (Ferozshah Kotla) is near Delhi Gate Metro Stations on the Violet Line.  Looking at the traffic, Metro is becoming the first priority for those going to watch the match.

In such a situation, DMRC will extend the time of its last train by 30 to 45 minutes on all lines (except the airport line) in view of the crowd gathering at the metro stations.  According to DMRC, apart from April 4, 11, 20, 29, on May 6, 13, 20, metro operations on all lines except the airport line will be extended by 30 to 45 minutes.
