Apart from the BJP state president for the Karnataka elections, a team of 16 senior leaders including several ministers and MPs from Uttarakhand are active in the elections.

BJP is going to enter the first phase of Karnataka election campaign with its team of 16 senior leaders including state president, ministers and MPs. State President Mahendra Bhatt told the media on various issues that the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat program will be made historic by listening extensively to the top influential and intellectuals related to the identity of the state. Expressing satisfaction over the Char Dham Yatra preparations, he also invited Rahul Gandhi to come on the occasion of the inauguration, so that he and his leaders could lose sight of finding political opportunity in the calamity.

Answering questions in an informal conversation with journalists at the party headquarters, State President Bhatt said that in view of the first phase of Karnataka elections, a total of 16 senior party leaders including cabinet ministers, MPs of the state government are being sent. He himself will visit several Vidhansabhas including Satna there on 25-26th. Already Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, State Vice President Kuldeep Kumar have become active there. Besides MLA Vinod Chamoli, Rajesh Shukla, Shiv Arora, Saurabh Thapliyal, Lalit Pant, Arvind Pandey are being sent prominently.
