Uttarakhand: Arrested the master mind of the gang that made Agniveer in the army, used to cheat the youth by posing as subedar
Police has arrested the master mind of the gang that made youths firefighter in the army. The accused used to cheat the youth by pretending to be a subedar in the army. Police recovered Army identity card, 26 checks of Rs 40.95 lakh and educational documents of five youths, admit cards of main examination, one car, two mobiles, army liquor card and 12 credit cards from the accused.
The accused was beaten up for not being admitted
The police have produced the accused in the court and sent them to jail. Let us tell you that the police have already arrested two accused in this case. According to the information, SSP Manjunath TC said that on November 3, 2022, Tapas Mandal, a resident of Nanakmatta, accused Vicky Mandal and Pankaj Singh Badela, residents of Devnagar Shaktifarm Sitarganj, of taking educational certificates and 50 thousand in the name of being admitted to the army. When the youth did not get admitted, he asked for the certificate and money back, then he was called to Dineshpur and thrashed at gunpoint.
In the case, the police registered a case against both of them and arrested them. During interrogation, he had confessed that he had looted lakhs of rupees on the pretext of recruiting the youth in the army. SSP Manjunath TC said that during the interrogation of both, it was found that the master mind of the gang is Govind Singh Nayal, a resident of village Baya Shaharfatak police station Mukteshwar Nainital, Subedar Nai village.
Accused Subedar arrested from Haldwani
Under the leadership of CO Pantnagar Tapesh Kumar and SHO Dineshpur, the police started searching for the master mind on the matter. For this raids were being conducted in Haldwani, Ranikhet, Almora, Bareilly. But the accused was absconding. The SSP told that information was received on Saturday morning that Subedar Govind is in the Kothgodam area. On which the police team reached Haldwani Kathgodam and took the arrested car.
Many important documents recovered along with fake army identity card
An Alto car was recovered from the accused Govind. In which defense was written on the front and back. Apart from this, Army’s fake identity card, Aadhaar card, PAN card, educational certificates of five youths, admit card for Agniveer Man exam of eight youths, medical referral card of Agniveer of two youths and a diary were recovered from Subedar along with this 40.95 26 cheques, two mobile phones, army liquor card, 12 credit cards were recovered.
The accused was sent to jail after being presented in the court
SSP Manjunath TC told that during interrogation, Govind Singh Nayal told that he is not in the army. He only used to get the educational documents and checks of the youths in the name of recruiting them in the army along with their arrested comrades Vicky Mandal and Pankaj Singh by posing as subedar of the army.
They used to demand more money from the youth who got recruited through their hard work. Whereas those youths who could not get recruited, used to pacify them by assuring them to get admitted in the next recruitment. Police has produced the accused Govind in the court and sent him to jail.
