Suicide attack on police station in Pakistan, 10 people including 8 policemen killed

There has been a suicide attack in Pakistan, in which 10 people including 8 policemen have died. 29 people have been injured after the blast. The blast took place at the Kabal police station in the Swat district of Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Department. Police officials have confirmed the suicide attack. Imdad Khan, a police officer who was injured in the attack, said that Dhanaka happened at 8.20pm, Dawn reported. The blast took place at the police station, which houses the Counter Terrorism Department building and a mosque.

He told that the explosion was so strong that three buildings collapsed. Immediately after this explosion, every other fire broke out. Imdad Khan said that he was in the kitchen when the blast took place. He told that he heard two explosions. Police said many people were buried under the debris. While the injured are being taken to the nearest hospital. Emergency has been declared in all the nearby hospitals.

Pakistani Prime Minister expressed condolences
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah strongly condemned the blast. He expressed condolences to those killed in the incident. Along with this, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. Apart from this, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed grief over this incident. So far no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. But it is believed that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan could be behind this attack.
