Uttarakhand: On the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra, Congress accused, Mahara said – work done on paper, ground reality opposite

Two pilgrims died of heart attack within two days of the commencement of the Chardham Yatra. After which Congress state president Karan Mahara has listed the shortcomings on the travel routes. He said that many types of problems are still coming to the fore on the Chardham Yatra routes. Because the condition of the roads on the Gangotri route still remains bad. Due to this, the passengers are facing a lot of problems in traffic. Karan Mahara said that last year also the government was alerted about the health facilities on the travel routes, but this time also the situation is the same. He said that neither the boards are installed on the travel routes nor the passengers are getting proper information. In such a situation, work has definitely been done on paper, but nothing is visible on the ground. Mahara said that proper water arrangements have not been made in the halts, apart from this the parking facilities are not looking better. Chardham Yatra is held every year, but the government does not take it seriously.

Counting the achievements of the Harish Rawat government, he said that during the Harish Rawat government, a big parking lot was made at the Kedarnath Dham stop. But after that no new construction has been seen on the ground in these 6-7 years, which is definitely worrying. He said that the way the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee makes arrangements for the Yatra, on the same lines arrangements need to be made for the pilgrims coming for the Chardham Yatra in Gangotri and Yamunotri.
