Uttarakhand: Cabinet Minister Chandan Ram Das died, breathed his last in Bageshwar hospital
Cabinet minister of Uttarakhand government Chandan Ram Das passed away on Wednesday. The cabinet minister was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. He was admitted to Bageshwar District Hospital. He was admitted to the ICU of the hospital. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has condoled his death.
MLA from Bageshwar and Uttarakhand minister Chandan Ram Das passed away on Wednesday. Suddenly his health deteriorated on Wednesday and after that he was admitted to the district hospital in Bageshwar. But after some time he died during treatment. Condoling his death, CM Dhami said, “I am shocked by the news of the sudden demise of my senior colleague in the cabinet Mr. Chandan Ram Das ji. His death is an irreparable loss in the field of public service and politics. Political journey
Chandan Ram Das, cabinet minister of Uttarakhand government and leader of BJP, started his political career 43 years ago. However, in 1997, the municipality won the first election from Bageshwar. He became the independent chairman of the municipality. Earlier in 2006, she had joined BJP. Then Bhagat Singh Koshyari was the Chief Minister of the state in the BJP government.
After this won the first assembly election in 2007. Since then he has been the Chief Minister for four consecutive terms. Chandan Ram Das became MLA after winning in 2007, 2012, 2017 and 2022. In the last assembly elections, he defeated Congress candidate Balakrishna from Bageshwar assembly seat. Then he had won by a margin of 14,567. In this election, he got 33,792 votes and the rival Congress candidate got 19,225 votes.
