Uttarakhand: Relief Dhami will seek from the court to channelize Dehradun rivers

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that many rivers and drains in the state have accumulated debris, due to which the rivers and drains turn their course anywhere in the rainy season, which becomes a cause of disaster in the form of floods and its consequences are bad. . Due to the order of the court, channelization of rivers and drains is not being done, the government will seek relief from the High Court for disaster relief works in the rivers and drains.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the disaster affected Maldevta Sarkhet village. Here, inspected the ongoing relief works in the affected area. Displacement assistance checks of Rs.3 lakh each were distributed to 13 families of disaster-affected Bhainswad and Sarkhet villages. CM Dhami said that continuous work is going on to make up for the damage caused in this area. When the disaster struck in August last year, commendable work was done by the district administration for the relief and rescue work. He said that public cooperation with the government is very important during the disaster. Former BJP District President Shamsher Singh Pundir, Vice President District Panchayat Deepak Pundir, Member Veer Singh Chauhan etc were present on this occasion.

Road will be built from Kyara to Dhanaulti
The CM announced the construction of the remaining four km motorway of the Kyara-Dhanaulti road. Along with this, it was said to send a proposal under the Central Road Fund for the construction of the Silla-Moldhar-Suvakholi motorway from Lalpula near Maldevta. These roads will act as bypass for tourists going to Dhanaulti and Tehri. The CM said that on the basis of priority, the rest of the roads in the area will also be constructed.
