Thunderstorm alert in Uttarakhand till May 27, know, weather update of the state including Rudraprayag-Bageshwar

In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued a cyclonic storm alert till May 27. After this warning of the Meteorological Department, the holidays of all the officers in the UPCL management have been cancelled. Instructions have been issued by Uttaranchal Power Corporation Limited to all officers to remain posted in their friends till May 27. The Meteorological Department is continuously issuing warnings of bad weather in the state. On May 18, due to heavy rain and storm, power lines were broken at many places in Uttarakhand due to falling of trees and transformers were also damaged at many places. Amidst the damage caused by the storm, UPCL had restored power supply at most places till Friday.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a cyclonic storm alert till May 27. According to UPCL MD Anil Kumar, on May 18, due to storm and rain, lines were broken at many places in Garhwal and Kumaon due to falling of trees while transformers were also damaged. UPCL has restored power supply while doing its work promptly. Anil Kumar said that the Meteorological Department has issued a cyclonic storm alert from 22 to 27 May. In view of this, he has given instructions to keep the power supply smooth to all field units. On the other hand, after this alert of the Meteorological Department, the devotees coming on the Char Dham Yatra are also being appealed to take weather updates and come on the yatra.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning, gusty winds and hailstorm at some places in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Almora districts on Sunday. Whereas on May 22, there is a possibility of light to very light rain and thundershowers at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli districts and hilly areas of Kumaon division, while the weather will remain dry in other districts of the state.
