Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Prostitution busted in Devbhoomi, extra service was being provided in the spa center in 2000
The police have registered a case against the spa center operator and a customer running prostitution in the capital Dehradun. Prostitution was busted when a sting operation took place following a complaint received by the Women’s Commission. Here prostitution was done in the name of entry for Rs 500 and extra service for Rs 2,000.
Some objectionable items were also recovered from the spa centre. Apart from this, two spa centers have been challaned and a fine of Rs 10,000 each has been collected from them. Manmohan Singh Negi, in-charge of the Anti Human Trafficking Unit, said that on Monday, the Women’s Commission had received information about a spa center named Body Relax at Lalpul.
It was told that some girls are forced into prostitution here. On this, Prem Yogi of Human Rights Council was taken along for the sting operation. He was given 500-500 rupee notes. He was entered at the counter of the spa center by taking 500 rupees. After this he was sent to a cabin. A girl came there and started massaging him. After this he was offered that extra service would be given for two thousand rupees.

This woman described herself as a resident of Haridwar. Along with Prem Yogi, Anti Human Trafficking Unit and police personnel also reached there like normal people. All the conversations were video and audio recorded. After this there was raided along with Patel Nagar police.
Meanwhile, the director of the spa center, Gurmeet Singh, resident of Sahajawa, Saharanpur fled from there. The team checked all the cabins built there. 13 girls were rescued in different cabins. A customer Amit Kumar was also found there. Told that a case has been registered against Gurmeet, the director of Body Relax Spa, and Amit Kumar, the customer.
Apart from this, an invoice of Rs 10,000 each has been made for Magic Touch and Peaceful Spa Relax Centre. There was neither entry register nor CCTVs were working properly. Activities such as Body Relax Spa were not found at these spa centres. However, they too have been warned.
