Uttarakhand: Ankita Bhandari’s mother wept bitterly in DM’s office, demanded to change government lawyer
The family members have not yet got justice in the famous Ankita Bhandari murder case. Now Ankita’s parents have raised questions on the working style of the public prosecutor. He alleged that the public prosecutor is not pursuing the case strongly. In this regard, he met Pauri DM Ashish Chauhan. He raised the demand to replace the government lawyer as soon as possible. They say that if their demands are not met, they will be forced to fast unto death. In fact, in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, the family members are once again not satisfied with the action of the public prosecutor. Late Ankita’s father Virendra Bhandari and mother Soni Devi alleged that the public prosecutor is not pursuing the case seriously. Because of which there is every possibility of weakening the matter.
He said that while defending the case in the court, Jitendra Rawat, the public prosecutor, presented his arguments. It is proving that winning the daughter’s case is not in her control now. Therefore, he met DM Ashish Chauhan in this regard and submitted a memorandum to him. Also warned of fast unto death if the demand is not met.
Mother’s tears are still not dry
It has been almost 10 months since the Ankita Bhandari murder case, but Ankita’s mother Soni Devi’s tears still haven’t dried. When mother Soni Devi met DM Ashish Chauhan on Wednesday to get justice for her daughter, she could not hold back her tears. He pleaded with the weeping DM that a conspiracy was being hatched to weaken the daughter’s case.
Anganwadi worker’s organization got support
At the same time, on this occasion, the Anganwadi worker’s organization also supported Ankita’s family. He raised the demand of the government to get the accused of the murder case punished as soon as possible. He said that the entire Anganwadi organization of the state is standing with one mother.

Ankita Bhandari (age 19) of Srikot Dobh village in Pauri district used to work as a receptionist at Vanantra Resort located in Ganga Bhogpur area of Yamkeshwar assembly. Who suddenly disappeared from the resort on 18 September 2022. After this, Pulkit Arya, the owner of Vanantra Resort, informed Ankita Bhandari’s father about her disappearance. On which Ankita’s father had filed a case with the Revenue Police, fearing the daughter’s disappearance.
At the same time, when nothing was known about Ankita Bhandari, the matter reached the regular police. In the case, the regular police had detained Pulkit Arya, owner of Vanantra Resort, along with Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar, then strictly interrogated them. After which the police recovered the body of Ankita Bhandari from Chilla barrage on the tip of all three. In such a situation, all the three accused were arrested. Continuous hearing is going on in this matter.
