Uttarakhand: Review meeting of district level development authorities chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan
Under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, a review meeting of District Level Development Authority/Development Authorities was organized at the Secretariat on Monday. Parking projects, other projects run at the authority level, master plan, city mobility plan, unity mall, land bank, shelter fund, facade policy, TDR and parking policy and disposal of maps in authorities, along with e-office/ease app were discussed in the meeting. Pre approval map/self certification etc. were reviewed.
Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan instructed that the Development Authority should ensure that map approval is made accessible and easy, as well as getting it approved within the prescribed period. He said that while completing the parking projects operated at the authority level at a fast pace, possibilities should be explored for tunnel and mechanical parking. In order to develop parking at the local level, the process of obtaining proposals from private land holders should be expedited under the Uttarakhand Parking Rules. He was also instructed that a time table should be made for effective planning of all the schemes to be run at the authority level so that the projects could be implemented within the prescribed time limit.
The Additional Chief Secretary said that City Mobility Plan should be prepared for planning the traffic system of cities and provisions should be made on the basis of City Mobility Plan in the preparation of the Master Plan. Economic resources should also be taken care of in the development of the master plan, so that the master plans can prove to be helpful in making the expansion of the city economically prosperous. He said that the shelter fund received by the authorities should be used for the construction of houses for the weaker income groups.
During the discussion in the meeting, Government of India’s plan to prepare Unity Mall in every city was also instructed to prepare and make available the DPR of the identified land in Rishikesh, Dehradun, Nainital, Haridwar and Udhamsinghnagar as necessary, so that the state’s To facilitate simultaneous marketing of local products in different areas.
