A 6-year-old girl died of snake bite in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. After this, the relatives covered the dead body with cow dung and neem leaves in the hope that he would be alive again. The girl’s body was buried in cow dung for the last two days. After this, when people reached the village from far and wide to see the dead body, the police got the girl’s last rites done by extinguishing it. Doctors say that instead of exorcism, if the patient is taken to the hospital within 1 hour of snake bite, then his life can be saved. Mangal Singh’s daughter was bitten by a snake on Monday morning in Rawatpur of Police Station area when the whole family was sleeping in the hut. After snake bite, the relatives first tried treatment through exorcism in the village. When the condition worsened, the girl was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead. After this, at the behest of the exorcists yesterday, the family members buried the dead body of the girl in cow dung and put neem leaves all around. The family was hopeful that their baby girl would be alive.

The discussion about the body being buried in cow dung spread in the entire surrounding area. After this, people started reaching the village from far and wide. On Tuesday afternoon, as the crowd increased, the police got the child’s last rites done after persuading the family members. At the same time, doctors say that after snake bite, there is a golden period of one hour. If the patient is taken to the hospital within 1 hour, then his life can be saved. Doctors are also appealing people to take the patient to the hospital instead of exorcism after snake bite.

Farmer dies due to snake bite in Agra

On the other hand, a farmer died due to snake bite during irrigation on Monday in Sarsa village of Kirawali tehsil of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The police informed about this. Police said that the farmer has been identified as Randhir (38), he was bitten by a snake, due to which he died on the spot. In this regard, on Tuesday, Kirawali police station in-charge Upendra Kumar told that the police has sent the dead body for postmortem.
