Uttarakhand: CM Dhami did district wise review of disaster affected areas: Instructed to provide heli service to pregnant women, said this about broken roads

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday conducted a district-wise detailed review of the disaster situation arising out of heavy rains in the state with the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretaries along with high officials of the government. All the district magistrates of the state were connected through video conferencing. The Chief Minister directed the officials to pay attention to practicality in the compensation distributed to the disaster affected people and to provide heli service to the pregnant women in the disaster affected areas. He also instructed to start the work of repairing the roads of the state immediately after the rains and necessary repairs should be done on the roads of Dehradun without any delay.
The Chief Minister instructed that the D.P.R. related to the repair of roads. And the process of tender etc. should be started from now so that the repair work of roads can start in the entire state as soon as the rains end. Emphasizing that practicality should be taken care of in the compensation to be distributed to the disaster affected, the Chief Minister asked the officials to help the affected by conducting on-the-spot inspection of the disaster affected areas. While thoroughly reviewing the water level of rivers, landslides, closed roads, distribution of compensation for loss of life and property, etc., the Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates to make arrangements for smooth opening of rural roads along with highways, necessary equipment should be arranged at the affected sites. .
The Chief Minister also directed all the District Magistrates to study the guidelines of disaster management in depth and accordingly ensure the distribution of relief at the departmental level according to the standards prescribed for disaster relief. Instructing to pay attention to the necessary repair of primary schools and Anganwadi buildings, he said that there will be no shortage of funds for the repair of roads and school buildings. The Chief Minister said that along with continuous supply of food grains, medicines, drinking water etc. to the disaster victims, it should also be ensured that no accidents happen due to electric current in waterlogged areas. He also asked to extend full help to the residents of the shelter home.
While addressing the District Magistrates, the Chief Minister said that from August 09 to August 15, all the departments should work in mutual coordination to successfully run the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign in the state. He also asked to prepare an action plan for the success of Har Ghar Tiranga program on August 15 and while emphasizing on making it a mass movement, instructed to take cooperation of all organizations and institutions in this. The Chief Minister said that the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence has been well organized in the state, now the Amrit Kaal of Independence is about to begin, we will have to focus on organizing this event with collective efforts.
Secretary, Disaster Management, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha gave information about the amount made available to the state under disaster head, disaster situation in the state and damage to crops etc. due to heavy rains and funds made available to district magistrates for disaster relief etc. Gave.
