On his birthday, Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, know what is this scheme and who will get the benefit?
Today is the birthday of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today i.e. on 17th September, Vishwakarma Jayanti is also being celebrated across the country. Many programs are being organized in the state on the occasion of his 73rd birthday. PM Vishwakarma Yojana is being launched in the state on the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday and Vishwakarma Jayanti. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan ceremoniously launched PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana. Under the scheme, artisans will be given cheap loans up to Rs 3 lakh.
For this, a program was organized at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal. On the occasion of the birthday of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vishwakarma Jayanti, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was also present on the occasion.
The Central Government had announced the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana in the budget session. A total of Rs 13000 crore is to be spent in this scheme.
They will get the benefit of the scheme
Under Vishwakarma Yojana, masons, barbers, garland makers, washermen, tailors, locksmiths, gunsmiths, sculptors, stone carvers, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, stone breakers, cobblers, shoe makers, doll and toy makers, boat makers, fishing etc. Net makers, basket/mat/broom makers, hammer and toolkit makers will be given the benefit of loan at low interest.
Under this, the applicant artisan will be given training and after this he will also be helped in employment. The artisans will be given training by the Small and Medium Enterprises Department at the tehsil or district headquarters. Artisans associated with a total of 18 professions will benefit under the scheme.
This is PM Vishwakarma Yojana
Under PM Vishwakarma, loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be given to those doing traditional work. At an interest rate of just five percent, you will get Rs 1 lakh as the first installment and Rs 2 lakh in the second installment. About 30 lakh artisans across the country can get loans on liberal terms. Rs 13,000 crore will be spent under this. Artisans can register themselves through PM Vishwakarma portal.
How to apply
Under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, the process of free registration will be carried out through the Common Service Center using the biometric based PM Vishwakarma Portal.
