Uttarakhand: PM Vishwakarma Yojana will bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of people skilled in handicrafts- Mahendra Bhatt

BJP has congratulated all the family members of Devbhoomi on the launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Also expressed confidence that this skill development scheme will prove to be most beneficial for the state, due to which the world will see the magic of the hands of our artisans and craftsmen.

State President Mahendra Bhatt, while talking to the media through different mediums, said that this scheme is going to bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the brothers and sisters who are skilled in handicrafts and handicrafts of our state, the most in the country. He said, if seen in the context of Uttarakhand itself, the wonderful traditional works like wooden furniture, handicrafts, woolen shawls, carpets, copper crafts, decorative candles, ring products, aipan, iron crafts etc. remain the identity of various areas. With the successful implementation of this ambitious plan of Modi ji, all of us together will have to give a strong base and golden identity to the magic of the hands of these family members in the world. Because if we talk about ringal and bamboo only, then it is the main handicraft industry of Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Almora etc. districts. From which handicraft items like soup, basket, basket, mat, mosta etc. are made.

Bhatt stressed that if our family members associated with this ringal and bamboo handicraft get 15 days training from Vishwakarma Yojana, that too with a grant of Rs 500 per day and Rs 15,000 as assistance for purchasing tools. Also, to start your business or expand further, you can get a loan of first Rs 1 lakh and then Rs 2 lakh, that too at 5 percent interest without any guarantee. Apart from this, the government will also take care of the sale of the goods produced by our artisans and craftsmen. After all these facilities and cooperation, there is no doubt that the economic and social upliftment of these skilled hands is certain. Similarly, a decisive change has taken place in making carpets, blankets, ropes from the fibers obtained from plants and from sheep’s wool in Pithoragarh and Chamoli, Pashmina shawls, dan, thulma, chutka, blankets, and fans etc. wonderful handicraft items and in Lohaghat, Johar Valley, Milam. It is going to come into the lives of the people associated with the leather industry and metal industry of the valley.

He said, since the traditional handicrafts and handicrafts of Devbhoomi are very magnificent. But these families of ours are continuously struggling due to lack of training in manufacturing products as per consumer needs, necessary capital investment and lack of market. He assured that by removing the lack of training, credit and marketing, this scheme will definitely be successful in helping our artisan brothers show their magic on the world stage.
