Film stars will gather in Doon from today, talent will get a new identity
There will be a gathering of Bollywood stars in the capital Doon for three days from Friday. On this occasion, along with the talent of Uttarakhand getting a new identity, buyers will also get a market in Aangan Bazaar. In the eighth Dehradun International Film Festival, Bollywood and short films will be shown to the audience at Silver City on Rajpur Road. Like previous years, this year too many stars, film directors and singers will come face to face with the audience in the festival.
Along with sharing his experiences with the audience, he will also give Gurumantra to the youth looking for a future in the cinema world. Also, the youth will get a chance to showcase their talent free of cost in the talent hunt to be organized in Silver City. In the talent hunt organized in two categories, talented people in the age group of 8 to 15 years and above 16 years can show their talent in dance, singing, mimicry etc.
Platform available for artists to showcase their talent
Festival organizer Rajesh Sharma said, the festival is a very golden opportunity for the youth of Uttarakhand. Its objective is to provide a platform to the artists to showcase their talent. Said, in the last eight years, the festival has given many new film directors and producers to the cinema world and they are now making their presence felt at the national level.
Special screening for the disabled on the first day
On the first day of the festival, which begins with Ganesh Vandana in Silver City, there will be a special screening of the film Drishyam-2 for the disabled. Besides, talent hunt and courtyard market exhibition will also be inaugurated. Whereas, Bollywood film Bheja Fry will be shown to the audience at 4 pm. During this time, the film’s lead actor Vinay Pathak will also be present.
