Rajasthan / Deeg: The wedding procession was returning with the bride, the police took the groom with them…the bride reached her in-laws house alone.

Shakeel, a resident of Raivka village of Gopalgarh police station area of Mewat area of Deeg district of Rajasthan, had committed the fraud of Rs 1 crore through sextortion with a person living in Sonipat, Haryana. A case was registered in cyber crime of Haryana by the victim. After the case was registered, Haryana’s Sonipat cyber crime team reached Deeg district last Thursday (September 21). On reaching Deeg district, Haryana Police came to know that fraud accused Shakeel had gone with a wedding procession.

The groom was arrested on the way
Haryana Police camped on the way and when the accused Shakeel was returning to his home late at night with his bride after getting married, then Haryana Police arrested Shakeel by creating a blockade and took him to Haryana. After that the bride was brought to her in-laws’ house without the groom.

Police from 14 states keep raiding here
It is noteworthy that Mewat region of Deeg district is also known as Mini Jamtara. In Mewat region, habits like online fraud and sextortion are happening every day. The miscreants of Mewat region carry out these crimes. Police from about 14 states of the country keep raiding here. The miscreants here are carrying out such crimes in about 14 states of the country.

What do the police say?
Deeg District Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that a case has been registered against Shakeel, a resident of Raivka village of Gopalgarh police station area, by a person in Sonipat, Haryana for defrauding one crore rupees through sextortion. After the case was registered, Sonipat cyber crime team reached here and was searching for Shakeel but he had gone with the wedding procession. Late at night, when Shakeel was returning home with his bride, the Haryana Police arrested him on the way and took him to Haryana.
